Current residents can use this page to request approval for a new household pet, submit a disability-related assistance-animal request, or report that an approved pet is no longer living at the rental property.
Written approval comes first: Do not bring, keep, pet-sit, or allow a new household pet at the rental property until the required review is complete and Rice Real Estate & Property Management has provided written approval.

Request Approval for a New Household Pet
Complete one household-pet affidavit for each pet you want to add. The review is property-specific, and submitting the affidavit does not approve the pet.
Start Household Pet AffidavitRequest a Reasonable Accommodation for an Assistance Animal
Service animals and other disability-related assistance animals are not household pets. Submit a reasonable accommodation request at no cost.
Request a Reasonable AccommodationReport the Removal of an Approved Pet
Submit a brief written notice identifying the approved pet and the date the pet stopped living at the rental property. Notification should be provided within 30 days.
Upload Resident NoticeDo not have the animal’s complete details yet? Current residents may begin the appropriate process based on whether they plan to add a household pet or request a reasonable accommodation for a service animal or support animal. Once a specific animal has been identified, submit an updated Household Pet Affidavit or Reasonable Accommodation Request with the animal’s complete information.
Household Pet Approval
Before a New Household Pet Enters the Property
Adding a household pet during an existing lease requires a new review and advance written approval. Follow each step before the pet lives at or visits the rental property.

Provide complete and accurate information for each household pet you want Rice Real Estate & Property Management to consider.
Rice Real Estate & Property Management Reviews the Request
The pet and the written requirements for the rental property are reviewed before a decision is issued.
Complete Approval Requirements
Property-specific pet fees, pet rent, a deposit, renter’s insurance, or a written pet amendment may apply.
Wait for Written Approval
The household pet may not enter or live at the rental property until written approval and all required documents are complete.
Additional Household Pets
Every additional household pet requires a separate affidavit, a new review, and advance written approval.
Visiting Household Pets and Pet-Sitting
Do not bring, keep, or pet-sit another person’s household pet at the rental property without prior written approval.
Pet No Longer Living There
Notify Rice Real Estate & Property Management within 30 days if an approved pet is adopted, lost, deceased, or otherwise no longer at the property.
