Add or Remove a Tenant, Co-Signer, Resident or Roommate
Current residents can use this page to request a change to the people connected with their rental home. Submitting the form starts the review process. It does not automatically approve a new occupant or release anyone from the lease.

Fees and Requirements Depend on the Change
Select the option that matches your household change. Fees shown below are one-time charges associated with the application or lease-amendment process.
Add a Tenant, Resident or Roommate
Each proposed new tenant or occupant must be reviewed and approved before moving into the home.
- Complete the request form below.
- Pay the $65 application fee for each new applicant.
- Complete the required background check.
- Provide valid government-issued photo identification.
- Complete and sign the approved lease amendment.
Remove a Tenant, Co-Signer, Resident or Roommate
Submitting a removal request does not immediately release a person from the lease or the household’s obligations. The requested change must be reviewed and completed in writing.
- Complete the request form below.
- Provide complete information about the person being removed.
- Respond to follow-up questions from the property management team.
- Complete and sign the approved lease amendment.
- Continue following the current lease until the amendment is fully completed.
How the Process Works
What Happens After You Submit the Form
The form gives Rice Real Estate & Property Management the information needed to begin the review. Additional documents, signatures, or answers may be required.
Submit the Request
Choose Add or Remove and complete every required field in the form.
Provide Documents
New applicants provide photo ID and complete the application and background check.
Management Reviews
A team member may contact the household to collect more information.
Complete the Amendment
The household follows the written approval and signing instructions provided.
Before You Start
Prepare the Right Information and Photo ID
Having complete, readable information ready helps prevent avoidable follow-up and keeps the review moving.
Photo ID Requirements for a New Occupant
Upload a color picture of the front of a valid government-issued photo ID.
- Show all four corners of the identification card.
- Make sure the name, photograph, and information are clear and legible.
- Use a color photograph.
- Do not submit a black-and-white image.
- Do not submit an illegible or cropped scan.
Information to Have Ready
- The rental property address
- The current resident’s name and contact information
- The full legal name of the person being added or removed
- Whether the person is a tenant, co-signer, resident, or roommate
- The requested effective date
- A valid email address and phone number for follow-up
- The required color photo ID when adding someone

Complete the Gravity Form below and click Submit after every required field and upload is complete. Submission starts the review. A Rice Real Estate & Property Management team member may follow up to request more information, payment, application steps, signatures, or supporting documents.
